Tidewatch Tactics
★★★★☆ 4.3
Tidewatch Tactics slows things right down. You place defenders across a grid of harbor towns and hold back waves of raiders using positioning and clever timing rather than fast reflexes. It is the kind of game you play with a cup of coffee, not on a crowded train.
I appreciated that it never punishes you for taking your time. You can plan a whole turn, undo it, and rethink before committing. Difficulty ramps up fairly, and by the mid-game I was genuinely proud of a defense line I had built.
It looks modest and the menus are a little plain, but the core puzzle-strategy loop is smart and satisfying. If you like thinking before acting, give it a look.
What we liked
- Relaxed, turn-based pacing
- Free undo before you commit
