Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that trusts you to enjoy reading. The world is a burnt-out kingdom slowly rebuilding, and your ragtag party feels like people rather than stat sheets. Combat is turn-based but brisk, so you never sit staring at menus for too long.

The party building is where I lost hours. Every character has a couple of branching skill paths, and swapping one companion for another genuinely changes how a fight plays out. I redid an entire dungeon just to test a different lineup, and it felt worth it.

It has energy timers, which I always grumble about, but they are generous enough that I rarely hit the wall. If you want a story to sink into on your commute, this is an easy recommendation.
